Susana Talayero. Crónica inquieta (1987-2016)

Susana Talayero. Restless Chronicle (1987-2016)

Susana Talayero (born Bilbao, 1961) studied Fine Art at the Universidad del Pa Vasco (1980-1985) and began her artistic career in Rome, where she lived from 1986 to 1995. Her work is associated with the Transvanguardia and with Informalism, which provided the roots for her creative aesthetic and her experimental approach involving the use of a range of techniques, supports and materials.

Talayero has worked with painting, drawing and video. Her oeuvre reveals an interest in organic forms, which she uses to configure her own universe of motifs of enormous expressive power. This exhibition, curated by the researcher Aimar Arriola, will offer an in-depth presentation of Talayero's work through a comprehensive survey of thirty years of her career. It will include around 120 works, the majority paintings, created between the late 1980s and the present.
